How To Give Your Room A Boho 70's Twist

I recently woke up and realised my bedroom did not feel like me at all. This is a space where I spend all of my time, it should reflect that? So I refurbed and made sure to include plenty of 70's boho vibes- duh. Here's the finished result! Hope it gives you some inspo!

How To Dress Like A Hippie In The City

There’s a tendency to see an ocean of suits and pencil skirts flying towards you as soon as you hit the city. However this isn’t the be all and end all of your fashion choices. After heavy research, a letter to Government and a public vote, I have discovered that you ARE allowed to dress as boho and “tree hugging” (my best friend’s fave description of me) as you like! So if you’re into the hippie vibe but spend your days in the city here is a bit of inspiration to get you going!
LOOK ONE:
This Kimono could possibly be my fave purchase ever, I'm deeply obsessed with it. Pair with some wide leg jeans (a lotta denim going on here) and heeled boots, and bam you're Stevie Nicks strolling down Oxford street.

LOOK TWO:
I've received more than my fair share of abuse for wearing lace maxi skirts after summer but SO BE IT. The juxtaposition of the white lace and band tee is a fun way to play with this boho trend, so chuck on a chunky jacket now the weather's turned and go for it
LOOK THREE:
I know people normally wear these front knot t-shirts when they have abs but you're gonna have to deal with my distinct lack of such in the following pics. Nonetheless, this outfit is da bombbbbb.

How To Make Classic Mexican Margaritas

So we haven't had much luck for weather this Summer in London- I've complained consistently as you can imagine. Nevertheless, there's nothing stopping us drinking like it's a heat wave. One of my favourite bevys for the sunshine is a bitter, crisp, cold Margartia. They're really easy and quick to make, like most of my recipes so I hope you enjoy!
STEP ONE:
Salt the edge of the glasses, do this by wetting the rim with lime juice then dipping in a plate of salt.
STEP TWO:
Mix together, 5 shots of lime juice, 2 shots of Cointreau and 1 shot of Tequila, shake this up goooood
STEP THREE:
Pour into a margarita glass and garnish with a fresh lime wedge. Enjoy!

How To Play Basic Chords On The Guitar

If you find yourself around the campfire this Summer and fancy showing off, then simply remember these 4 basic chords and you can definitely whip out a few well known tunes. It's said in Country music, especially, that all you need is 4 chords and the truth, you'll be surprised how many songs are made up of these! So get practising!
Just to be clear, these are the finger numbers I've used on my guide!
When it comes to strumming patterns, an easy way to get to grips is to listen to the song you're trying to master and do your best to block out all vocals. Count out loud the patterns you hear, then re-create these with your strumming, start slow and build up until you feel comfortable to add some words! Another little tip is don't stop strumming! Even if your fingers haven't quite reached the chord, it will even out much quicker than stopping completely until you're ready (maybe sing a little louder on these bits if you're struggling!)

Your Weekend Guide To Venice

So about 2 days before this trip, Lucy Lu and I very nearly cancelled because the city had experienced some of the worst floods in years and if you haven't guessed by now... I'm NOT a wellie and rain coat kind of gal! Nonetheless we risked it and thank God we did because the weather was unreal. Just cold enough for a faux fur but sunny enough for the new shades, ideal sitch. So if you find yourself heading to Venice anytime soon, here are a few little tips to get you on your way.
1. Potter About
This was probably the first trip where we didn't really plan ahead what we were going to do, instead we just walked around and continuously stumbled across the most amazing locations, including Saint Marks Square, Rialto bridge and plenty of adorable little shops, including a Sephora (most importantly).

2. EAT!
I can't remember anywhere we've been and not eaten our way through it frankly but when in Italy, things are SERIOUS. We hit the pastry shops for breakfast and had a little picnic watching the Gondolas go by, I mean we were covered in icing sugar for the rest of the day but that's a small sacrifice to make.

 3. Ride a Gondola
This activity is a little more expensive but it's just something you have to do if you're there! You'll see the city from a unique perspective and please name a more Queen-like activity than having a handsome young man row you about while you lie back and chill.

How To Create Your Easter Table

It's almost Easterrrr! Only 7 more sleeps until the Easter bunny makes his much needed appearance. As with every seasonal event, my family go all out, so if you've got company this year, here's some cute table decoration ideas to impress both kids and adults (it's not everyday you can cover your furniture with chocolate and small woodland creatures.)

How To Get Bouncy Waves Without Curlers

I'm very lazy when it comes to my beauty routine, I'll admit that openly. So if there's a hack which means your hair is magically becoming beautiful while you sit and watch the Madeline Mccan doc (hands free for snacks) then I'm here for it. Watch and learn my fellow lazy lasses.
 1. Add serum to wet hair, along with heat protector spray then blow dry. How cute is my beauty school drop out hair dryer btw?

 2. Once dry add some mousse, we want our hair just stiff enough that it will hold styling but doesn't feel crunchy- not the one.
 3. Split hair into 2 sections and create 2 little space buns, ensuring that you twirl the hair into twists before you create the buns themselves, then lock that shizz in and spray with hairspray, PLENTY OF IT. Allow to chill like that for a good few hours, take a nap, you've earnt it. Then voila, looking like you actually spent time and effort mucking about with curling wands and burning your hands, I won't tell if you don't.
